MechMaxx 72" Heavy Duty PTO Flail Mower with Hydraulic Side Shift

I bought the VAM60 to mow ditches and hillsides around the farm and it has delivered wonderfully. My yard is bordered by woods and this flail mower is great for getting under the low branches and cleaning up the brush.

This has become our favorite new implement. The MechMaxx VAM60 60" Offset Flail Mower is so much more versatile than a brush cutter. Yes, it will cut brush, but it also leaves more of a "mulched" finish mower look. Rarely does it bend random weeds down like a brush cutter does from time to time. The offset feature of this flail mower means I no longer need another implement to cut vertically down wooded pathways. Very heavy duty. Very well built. We have been using it for a couple of months and it just works well everytime. The hammers have a few dings from use, but they just keep on cutting. Assembly was straightforward, just a few tools, use the tractor to lift off the crate.

Flail mower showed up very well packaged. Even in my remote lovation it only took a couple days for it to arrive. Assembly has been straight forward. I used a good quality gear oil in the gear box. Im waiting for the next good stretch of weather to try it out!

The AGF72 heavy duty ditch bank flail mower is a beast. I have it on the back in a Mahindra 6085 and it works wonderfully. This mower provides a nice clean cut. I've cut up to 4'' diameter brush with it and it never misses a beat.

Pleased with results so far. The flail mower came very well packaged with a steel crate. Assembly was not difficult and I was able to do it by myself without any assistance. I adjusted the roller to the maximum height based on what I've seen other users do - and it was the right decision. Not sure that I would use the capability but I would like for it to have an even higher setting. I had no issues at all mowing a field and also some ditch banks. Don't forget to add oil to the gear as it comes empty from the factory. I also greased all the fittings. I'm using on a TYM T494 and it performed great on it. The heft of the tractor kept everything balanced and I had no concerns about the tractor being tippy.

I am beyond pleased, this is an amazing piece of equipment that is making my life so much easier. It's easy to operate and cute so well. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to buy one. The assembly instructions were a little confusing but I managed.

I am very pleased with the performance of the Nam60 flail mower on my Kubota L3901. Mowed 6 acres with it so far and it cut through heavy grass and light brush. The offset is good around the few trees I have. Easily assembled and fitted on my tractor. Cuts so much better than my 60" bushhog. Mechmaxx is a great company to purchase from as well! Thank you!

I purchased the NAM60 and could not be happier with the results so far. I mowed my 2.5 acre overgrown pasture with ease and also used it to clear out some willow saplings. It mulches everything really well. I was a little worried because my tractor was on the low end for HP (31hp) but it runs it just fine. I have a Yanmar 3110D. I did have to cut the PTO shaft but no big deal.

Purchased the NAM60 model to mow a gun club. I couldn't be more pleased with this mower. I don't think you could get any better cut with a Zero turn mower at six times the price!!! It's sturdy beyond my needs, easy to assemble and use and the shipping cradle was impressive!!! I have it mounted to a John Deere 3203 hydrostatic drive which provides plenty of power. Yes, I had to cut the PTO shaft but that was expected, no biggie!! I went with a flexible top link (chain) because our land is VERY uneven and this allows the mower to float better behind the tractor when running the “moguls”. Granted, I haven't used it to demolish any forest products but I'm sure it will handle most tasks with ease.
The value of this mower exceeds the price and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

This product exceeded my expectations, works better tham my 60" brush hog cutter. Cuts lower and cleaner and leaves the cuttings like a mulcher would do instead leaving clumps of long cuttings. Its easier to maneuver than a brush hog as well. I would suggest this over a brush hog for cutting tall grasses or weeds.

Good service! these guys were incredibly patient with my shipping questions. After about 40 hours of use, I can confidently say this mower was worth the investment. It handles heavy material without bogging down my tractor, cuts evenly, and leaves a much cleaner finish than a rotary cutter.

The side shift is very smooth and doesn't bind up even under load. Definitely built for hard work.

The hydraulic side shift is a total game changer. I can slide it over to reach right under the treeline without risking my tractor's cab.

The hammer blades leave a very clean finish. Looks almost like it was landscaped.
