MechMaxx 87" Heavy Duty PTO Flail Mower with Hydraulic Side Shift

After careful thought, I decided on a flail mower to replace my brush cutter to cut grass and brush. Upon receiving the mower, it wasn't difficult assemble, and once I was able to get to work, I put it to work. I am using this mower with a Mahindra 4550 which has a outside wheel measurement of 84". As you can see, the NAM68H is almost the exact width of the tractor, and with the slide, I am able to get closer to the fence line than I ever could with the brush cutter. I have the mower set at it's highest height as I am getting used to this type of mower. So far, I would highly recommend this mower. I am hoping it holds up well through the brush cutting I have to do in preparation for more pasture fencing.

This unit exceeded my expectations. It came well packaged in a sturdy steel crate. It did a great job with brush up to about an inch in diameter. I am planning to upgrade my tractor so I bought one size up. I was worried that the BX22 would struggle to keep it spinning, but there is plenty of torque and the Mowers bearings are very good. Be careful not to cut the driveshaft too short, I measured 3 times just to be sure.

This Flail mower is a monster. I have 3 acres of brush and small saplings and it's doing an amazing job of clearing Was very easy to set up. Packaging was very well thought out and easy to assemble. Couldn't be happier with it. Solid attachment.

Overall excellent product. Very well built at an excellent price. One drawback was difficulty in getting it hooked up, as the manual doesn't provide much instruction on assembling the suspension bracket.

I ordered the Mech Maxx NAM 60 to take place of a 5 foot brush hog that I was not happy with cutting a 5 acre field. These are built very and make a great finished product, dispersing the mulchings evenly, and not spitting out a big clump, but be aware it is not John Deere imatch compatible, which isn't a dealbreaker with me. Moving forward this will be the only tool that I use when cutting pastures or tall grass.

Great value, cuts great. Ordered this when it was on back order and it delivered right at the estimated time. Like that it comes with hammers instead of knives by default which is an option or add on for most other brands. The hammers give a clean cut but deal with light brush well. The shaft that shipped with the unit had to be slightly trimmed to fit my Mahindra 1533, but was a fairly easy task. Assembly was minimal and instructions fairly clear. The gearbox on the unit has been updated since the instructions, but their support team was quick to answer questions.

Mower arrived on time. It was packaged well in a sturdy steel frame. Top link mount was easy to assemble. Depending on the size tractor you have it may be necessary to cut the PTO shaft down a few inches. Overall very impressed with the cut of this equipment.

Excellent product and good quality. The paint was a little scratched up from delivery but the item is a farm implement and will be used according so the minor scratches are not a concern. The delivery after order was longer than expected, and communication of the timeline was not great. I would purchase again and with the competitive pricing I would recommend this purchase to others.

The CMR gearbox runs very quietly. You can tell the internal bearings are high-spec. Everything goes well! Top-notch experience!

This flail mower is an absolute beast. Hooked it up to my 65 HP tractor with no issues at all. The PTO connection lined up perfectly and everything felt solid right out of the crate. I've been clearing thick brush and roadside grass for two weeks now and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Everything about this machine screams "Heavy Duty." Even the paint finish is thick and durable.

The 50-75 HP range is accurate. My 55 HP tractor handles the 72-inch width with no issues at all.

I received my order in timely manner and the product looks great I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it seems to be of really good quality.
