Cutter Wheel and Teeth
Cutter Wheel and Teeth

Mounted on the 10-inch diameter cutter wheel are 8 sets of professional-grade teeth, enabling a cutting diameter of an impressive 12 inches . This allows for cutting stumps at a higher elevation from the ground. The pocket is forged from 42CrMo, and teeth are made of YG11C alloy, with a diameter of 1 inch. This design ensures more efficient stump cutting, improving work efficiency by approximately 35% compared to other types of teeth.

Chassis Rotation
Chassis Rotation

The design concept is to integrate the engine, cutter wheel, and handle into a single welded structure as a working unit. There is a set of rotating mechanisms between the working unit and the chassis. The lever on the right side of the handle can lock and release the chassis.

Left and Right Swing Rotation Angle
Left and Right Swing Rotation Angle

The chassis's left and right swing angle can reach 65 degrees, with a linear distance of up to 31.5 inches. This allows for easy cutting of stumps with a diameter of up to 31.5 inches, relying solely on the simple swinging of the chassis.

Tyre Fixation
Tyre Fixation

In our latest design, both tyres are fixed simultaneously, and the chassis swings left and right to perform tasks. The major advantage of this design is the ability to work more easily and continuously. Fixing both tyres at the same time ensures protection against collision injuries caused by operator errors, greatly improving operational safety.

Cutting Height and Depth
Cutting Height and Depth

With a maximum cutter wheel rotation diameter of 12 inches and a dual-wheel locking design, the handle can easily be pressed down, achieving a cutting height of 12 inches above the ground and a depth of 10 inches..

Adjustable Rotation Handle
Adjustable Rotation Handle

This lever controls the locking and releasing of the chassis. When the chassis needs to rotate during work, lift the lever. To move the machine to the next work area, return the lever to its original position, and simultaneously release the tire brake handle to enable movement.

The assembly was a little hard to follow, but I got it. Then I cut about 12 4”-10” stumps around my property and it worked great! So I took it to my rentals and tackled a few more the same size.. then I tackled a stump that was about 3 foot diameter. It took a while, and was a lot harder on me.. but it worked great! I was very happy using this stump grinder.

Very pleased with this stump grinder. Been using it for almost two years now and have cut over one hundred stumps with it. It has plenty of power and with patience can cut any size stump. It uses an easy to find Wearsharp Series 900 cutter tooth which can be bought through MechMaxx or through your local forestry supplier. You can also buy the proper grinding wheel for your bench grinder and sharpen 2-3 times before needing to replace them. My usage of this stump grinder was bought for personal use and customer jobs where a larger cutter wasn’t necessary or it was too large for the stump location. Belts are easy to replace and are tensioned by jacking the engine to the rear. Oil changes are also very easy. You cannot beat the price of this model either. Similar models by other manufacturers are sometimes triple the price! Buy this model with confidence and get to work!

This thing is a beast!! I had numerous stumps to grind of all sizes. I saved over $5000 dollars doing it myself. The stumps in my photos took between 20-40 minutes. It's great having this around so I can grind stumps when I have the time and I don't have to worry about rental return. I had a b Black Locust that took an hour but it was huge and hard as concrete.

I recently purchased the MechMaxx Stump Root Grinder SGR1500 and I am absolutely thrilled with its performance. The grinder is incredibly powerful and efficient, making quick work of even the toughest stumps. The attached photos show the impressive before and after results of a project I completed using the grinder. The area was completely transformed, with the grinder effortlessly removing all traces of the stump and leaving a clean, level surface.

The SGR1500 is also very user-friendly, with intuitive controls and a comfortable grip that made it easy to operate. The grinder's compact design allowed me to maneuver it into tight spaces and around obstacles with ease. Additionally, the grinder is built to last, with a durable construction and high-quality components that can withstand heavy use.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the MechMaxx Stump Root Grinder SGR1500. It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, ease of use, and durability. I would highly recommend this grinder to anyone in need of a reliable and effective solution for stump removal. The results speak for themselves, as evidenced by the attached photos. Five stars all the way!

For the cost of the stump grinder, I just don’t know how you could do any better. It has plenty of power. The ergonomics are good. The design is simple and easy to work on. I have ground nearly 40 stumps already some small pine, some medium pine and several large oak stumps. With patience there’s really no size stump that it can’t handle.

I have used mine commercially for a little over one year and it's been a champ. It takes more time doing 3 foot stumps but I would rather put in more effort than taking 10 minutes and making payments on a $20,000 machine. I don't even need a trailer because I carry it in the bed of my truck.

I have used the MechMaxx SGR 1500 stump grinder to grind about 30 stumps. The grinder works better than I expected and I only had to rotate the cutter bits one
time. It can be tiresome to operate for many hours and a beast to move around. Definitely 100% happy
with my purchase and MechMaxx

I've had mine for about a month and have about 25 hours of commercial use. my third job was 9 stumps with 4 being over 30". Technique is everything and yes, it will do bigger stumps. I drilled and tapped a 35 pound dumb bell and bolted it to the plate on the handle bar for a counter weight to make grinding for long periods of time a LOT easier. i also put cushy cork bicycle handle bar tape on the handle bars. it's well designed and well built.

Got this stump grinder a few months ago and have used it to grind up at least 25 stumps so far. It works great and i have removed both new and old stumps and some very large stumps that were over 30 inches in diameter. The machine starts on first pull every time. It is very heavy so I recommend getting the model with the hitch if you're going to need to move it up any steep grades. The brake mechanism is ok but needed adjustment when I originally put it together. Assembly was straight forward and not difficult. I highly recommend this product for any homeowner that has a lot of stumps that need removal. Rental prices for this level of machine in my area is about $400/day so this paid for itself in 3 days of work.

I’ve done probably 30 stumps with many oak stumps. It’s definitely a good investment if you like to do things yourself. The engine starts very easy. For the money I highly recommend.

I was a little skeptical about buying from a company I never heard of before BUT I am very pleased with my purchase. The shipping container it was shipped in was better constructed than anything else I have ever purchased. It took a couple hours to put together , they put a lot of a little extras on their unit that other stump grinder company’s don’t do. Started right up first pull. One thing I really like is the articulating handle, instead of having the whole unit to pivot like other brands. My first stump was a 20 inch sugar maple and it chewed it right down in less than 20 minutes. This company also uses the better replaceable teeth. I am very happy with this stump grinder.

I was a bit worried at first reading a few reviews but went ahead with the purchase. I am very happy with how this thing is built. Instructions were clear, if you can't put it together, then you shouldn't be operating it! It came mostly assembled except tires and handle linkages...can easily figure it out without a book.started right up, add oil. It's going to my farm next week to start it's life, wish I bought extra teeth for it...

The only thing I can say bad about it is it's not easy to roll up hills ! If I had it to do over with I would have brought a self propelled grinder ! It was easy as pie to assemble even though the directions were somewhat lacking . Cus fast and after about twenty or so stumps it still cuts good .
