This sawmill is equipped with a 7HP 212cc Ducar engine, which has excellent performance, reliable quality, and can be used for a long time.

The handle rotates through 23 locking locations ensuring precise and consistent control. The cutting thickness can be adjusted by rotating the handle to choose the right board for you, and the maximum thickness of the board can be cut up to 7’’.

Bought the Mechmaxx Sm18 in Febuary 2024 ,
This small size sawmill performs awesome once setup and adjusted properly, First Make sure the blade is installed the right direction as I had mine on backwards and was wondering why it was cutting slow, then installed correct way and cuts like butter, blades where easy to find from local Saw Service near me, Had some custom made and the SM=18 cutts amazing! The only thing that could be improved is the tensioner setup it needs to be Heavy duty, other than that this sawmill is a creat deal for a first timer the machince is still running strong and am looking of more ways to make things with it thanks Mechmaxx!!

The sawmill is well-made and sturdy. We're in the middle of building a shelter for it as we have it on our land where many logs need to be cut. Have only gotten to try it on a small log so far but it seems to work fine. Happy with the product.

The SM-18 sawmill has been essential to my arsenal in tools for woodworking and building. The quality of the machine is up to par and price is worth it. Starts every time and creates very beautiful clean cuts! The first thing that I used it on was a 16 inch white oak and everyone that was there said "cuts like butter". LOL!

The construction is heavy duty and good quality. The videos are helpful.
The factory saw blade is not made for cutting hardwood, small soft logs maybe.
The blade guide bearings don't come with enough grease but you can remove the rubber seals and add more.
If you don't have mechanical apputude you will not do well in my opinion.
Everything is a learning process when starting out, learn as much as you can from social media or someone who knows how to run a bandsaw mill and you will be enjoying the MeckMaxx as you make your own lumber
