MechMaxx 26" Portable Sawmill, 459cc 15HP E-Start Gasoline Engine

Don't know why I bothered with an alaskan mill for so long when this is an affordable and way more efficient tool. I can process a log in a fraction of the time now (and am way less beat up/exhausted at the end of the day). I cannot recommend this machine highly enough.

Couple of tips for assembly: (1) Double check all the pre-installed hardware. I found a few loose bolts/nuts on the carriage that probably rattled themselves loose during shipping. (2) Layout and UNWRAP all the components first. I thought I was missing some lock washers and went out to the hardware store to get replacements. I found the missing ones stuck in the packaging of the lubrication tank right at the end of assembly.

So far we've enjoyed using the 26" sawmill and have already added another tract extension for longer logs.
After donning my 5 year old granddaughter with appropriate safety equipment, she was able to cut her first poplar log.

I tried to build my own sawmill but gave up when they need more details on alignment. The shipping company delivered on the appointment date and helped me load the sawmill to my truck, I used a ratchet and a tree branch to load the box down and the sawmill to the rail, I did it by myself alone. The instructions was clear and easy to install. I would have buy the extension. Cut very smooth if installed correctly, I had trouble with the wiring but end up figuring out later

Has been a great saw mill so far! Easy to understand and work with! I will definitely be buying more from Mechmaxx products in the future!

This mill is awesome! I sold my woodmizer LX25 and had money left over after buying the SM26. I was going to get the new entry level sawmill from woodmizer but I'm really glad I didn't, this machine is way better, has a bigger engine, and bigger log capacity, the cutter head is so much more sturdy, free shipping was great too!! But in my opinion Mechmaxx push mills are hands down the best most cost efficient product out there, better than all the big names, by the time you get a mill this sturdy you have to spend almost $10,000....now I'm saving money for the logging winch next 😎

Ordered my SM26 on 5-3-2025, I ordered the wrong sub frame and it took a day or two to get in touch with someone but they helped changed the order very easily.
Email is the best form of communication with Mechmaxx in my experience. Any questions or concerns I have had, they have answered promptly.

Received on 5-14-2025 minus the trailer log loading kit(thanks to UPS LOL, I am still waiting).
Completed the assembly 0n 5-20-2025 and tested the mill with a short peice of oak.
This mill handled it very well. I have experience with the woodland Mills HM122( a good mill) and in comparison this Mechmaxx is a great value.
Assembly is a chore for one person but can be done, get help when time to put the head on the rails !!! I am adding a couple noteable photos in reference to the anti tilt brackets as the manual is a little vague on how to mount.
My intial review of the company and the product is very positive, I plan to put the mill through the paces here at our homestead on Edisto Island and will share more in the future.

Received my MechMaxx about a month ago just now got time and put it up over the weekend , we are very pleased and amazed with this sawmill , if you have been debating on ordering a MechMaxx mill this review is for you go for it saws pine logs with no issue

Got my sm26 up and running quickly, first thing I wanted to do is build a shed over it.my mill first job was pushing hard milling 26 ft long beams on a 16 ft bed.Ended up milling every piece of the 12 x 26 shed. Got to say the mill ran flawless, very happy with the sm26...

I bought a sm26 mill. I received the mill very timely and and assembly was pretty straight forward. The mill is of very good quality and cuts very well. Love the mill, would highly recommend their mills though.

This sawmill is great! Easy to assemble and use. My 75 year old father loves using it. My only issue was changing the blade. A must have for anyone with trees on their property that need to be cut.

The sawmill came well packed.it was easy to unpack.The setup was very easy.Instructions were very clear and easy to understand it seems well built and the motor started up first turn of the key

I purchased this mill to save on lumber costs due to having multiple projects. If you have a supply of lumber and want to save thousands of dollars, this is the only choice. The customer service is the best I have ever encountered and was a selling point in my decision on which mill to purchase.

Can't believe how fast and easy this sawmill makes boards out of logs. Should have bought it years ago. Setup was straight forward. They were very helpful when I needed to re-arrange delivery/pick up of the mill.

First sawmill. We have a small farm and a lot of woods and standing dead trees. Assembally was quite easy with the video on YouTube. Have already used it to mill the lumber for the structure around the mill and look forward to a number of projects that have been put off because of lumber costs.
So far it seems easy to use and i am very impressed with how well it handles the oak that we have around the property.
