The SG380 Stump Grinder is powered by a 15hp 420cc E-start Ducar gasoline engine. This engine can provide great power.

Cutter Wheel and Teeth

Mounted on the 10-inch diameter cutter wheel are 12 sets of professional-grade teeth, enabling a cutting diameter of an impressive 14 inches . This allows for cutting stumps at a higher elevation from the ground. The pocket is forged from 42CrMo, and teeth are made of YG11C alloy, with a diameter of 1 inch. This design ensures more efficient stump cutting, improving work efficiency by approximately 35% compared to other types of teeth.

Electric Start Battery

The SGR380 Stump Grinder is powered by an electric start gasoline engine and equipped with a 12V20Ah lead-acid battery.

Chassis Rotation

The design concept is to integrate the engine, cutter wheel, and handle into a single welded structure as a working unit. There is a set of rotating mechanisms between the working unit and the chassis. The lever on the right side of the handle can lock and release the chassis. When in a ready-to-work state, lifting the left brake handle can simultaneously lock both left and right tires. After releasing the chassis, the unit can swing left and right to perform cutting tasks. This design allows operators to work more easily and continuously.

Left and Right Swing Rotation Angle

The chassis's left and right swing angle can reach 65 degrees, with a linear distance of up to 31.5 inches. This allows for easy cutting of stumps with a diameter of up to 31.5 inches, relying solely on the simple swinging of the chassis.

Tyre Fixation

In our latest design, both tyres are fixed simultaneously, and the chassis swings left and right to perform tasks. The major advantage of this design is the ability to work more easily and continuously. Fixing both tyres at the same time ensures protection against collision injuries caused by operator errors, greatly improving operational safety.

Cutting Height and Depth

With a maximum cutter wheel rotation diameter of 14 inches and a dual-wheel locking design, the handle can easily be pressed down, achieving a cutting height of 15 inches above the ground and a depth of 10 inches.

Adjustable Rotation Handle

This lever controls the locking and releasing of the chassis. When the chassis needs to rotate during work, lift the lever. To move the machine to the next work area, return the lever to its original position, and simultaneously release the tire brake handle to enable movement.

Tow Bar and Support Leg

A 2-inch coupler is mounted on the tow bar, compatible with a 2 inch trailer ball. When outdoor work is needed, you can use the ATV or pickup truck to tow the stump grinder to work area. The trailer hitch comes as a standard feature which can be installed when needed.

This is a very good product. The SG380 is a very capable machine and so far has not met a stump it couldn't grind. I'm very happy with quality of the product and the customer service I received. I own both this and the SG24 grinder and I would recommend MechMaxx as your next purchase.

Does the job, seems pretty solid piece of equipment

Just ground my 78 stump down to below ground level and am still on my first set of carbide cutting tips. Have sand for soil, but big maple stumps. At $100.00 a stump that our local stump grinder charges, this machine owes me NOTHING! It usually starts with 1 pull. Sometimes it takes 2 pulls to start it. Have a new set of tips and belt, but haven’t needed to change either yet. I had it for 2 years with no problems.

Grinds stumps real well. A little nose heavy. Need a more detailed explanation of the cable and electrical wiring routing!

I’m 76 years old and decided to make life easier when mowing my lawn and remove stumps in my yard. So far, I’ve removed 46 stumps and haven’t changed belts or carbide tips yet. Took a 35 “ stump down to 3 inches below ground in 11 minutes. I made my own tow bar because it’s too heavy to push any distance. Plan to remove another 20 stumps next week.My wife took a video of the last stump being ground down and it shows how efficient this machine is.Soon as I take my “dirt-nap” the kids will have something else to fight over!

As with anything new, there is a learning curve. When I started working with very large ash stumps I wondered what I was doing wrong. Then I had smaller ash stumps, maples, and pine trees. After the big ash, the maples and pine were easy.

I ground out about 30 stumps and it worked perfectly. As an added bonus, this grinder is quieter than I might think. So glad I bought it!

I have removed about 50 trees in a month. You will need to put some Lock tight on the grease inserts. They want to rattle loose. This is a strong reliable stump grinder at this price range.
