MechMaxx 7" Hydraulic Feed Wood Chipper with ZONSEN Engine

Post about a 4 hour assembly and a faulty battery this chipper worked like a champ and tore into some downed alder and fir branches. Mine came with some dents in the intake hood from shipping but they were cosmetic only. There is quite a bit of difference in weight from my last chipper so it is not really suitable to be towed with a quad.

Great chipper ! It is surprisingly powerful and is a work horse .
I ordered with the Zonzen Chinese engine and I'm very satisfied with it , starts right up and runs strong and quiet . IMHO this is the best value for a true self feed hydraulic chipper on the market .

In terms of the machine, everything has been great. The machine shipped quickly from MechMaxx but unfortunately the freight delivery company's communication was terrible, so I opted to just drive the 30 minutes to get it myself. Use caution if you opt to do this because it is HEAVY (1600 lbs)! The unit shipped mostly assembled but I did need to use a mini-excavator to lift it off the trailer and suspend it while I bolted the axle and wheels on (I didn't think this through when they loaded it on my trailer). The machine does NOT ship with fuel, oil, or hydraulic fluid so you will need to service it with fluids once assembled. Assembly took about 2 hours and was pretty self-explanatory, although basic instructions are provided. Once assembled we broke it in for about 30 minutes before we started feeding it limbs. It does a FANTASTIC job on 3" material, but anything over that I'd suggest slowing down the feed rate a little bit (there is a simple lever on the side to adjust the feed rate). Overall VERY pleased with the machine for the price. MechMaxx customer service has been very responsive for any issues I've had.

Gas tank under branch intake tunnel? but the chipper seems to run well used it for an hour and a half munched up everything I fed it. Thanks for the online help and Rogers personal assistance.

Recevied the machine as expected on the metal crate. Had some assembly issues i hope they can work on. First would be the horrible location of the fuel tank. No idea why its under the feed wheels jammed in there like that. Second is some of the bolts were missing. Glad i checked the feed table before i ran brush thru it because there was the two bolts and the missing washers inside rolling around. Those could have ended up in the feed wheels and gone thru the chipper and destroyed the blades on the first branch ran thru. Other than those issues the machine works great. It chips better than expected honeslty. The honda engine runs and sounds good. I really like the adjustable speed for the feed wheels. On harder wood like oak or ash u can slow it down to help keep rpms up. The machine looks great, awesome color, very clean looking, which is important for my customers to see, very professional looking. It chips very well, ran a few logs thru about wine bottle size and chewed them up very easily. Brush was chipped very efficielty. Chipper chute rotates nicely to chip where needed. The safety bar works good. Reverse and stop modes act as they should. Pretty excited to use this chipper this summer, seems very safe and efficient so far! I hope the packaging can be better so someone doesnt run nuts and bolts thru their blades in the future. Thanks for reading my review. -Brian

Like the machine. Would buy again. Quick shipping. It came on a metal cage pallet. Everything seemed well packed except the hardware. By the time it got to me there were nuts and bolts floating around inside of the machine and on the delivery truck floor. Somehow I was able to find most everything that was important. I did however make a trip to the hardware store. Assembly could benefit from some machinery to raise the machine but I was able to do it all myself with a jack and jack stands. I have less than an hour into use of the machine so my experience is limited but so far I am quite pleased and would consider buying more from this brand.

It just arrived today! Was packaged in steel crate perfectly.It is much larger than anticipated. 1585lbs, can't wait to build it. I thank Rodger of your sales team for assistance in ease purchase

Well built, very user friendly works great

For the price this does great. I have a small tree service, and it helps me kick out jobs quicker. It starts great and runs well. I have had a couple jams and it quite quick to open and unjam.

We use it regularly on our 100 acre property chipping brash and downed trees. This thing is a beast.

It's a very nice wood chipper, haven't really had any problems with, make sure it's greased, make sure everything is up to specs and you'll be good.

I was extremely impressed with the service and made sure I wasn't let down. Because it's big enough. When I occasionally chop up large chunks, the device handles it without any issues.

Affordable prices, great reliability, and excellent customer service are why you have to try it. We have a 30 acre farm and DCH7 works great.

I used this big machine for the first time yesterday for about two or three hours and it ground up a lot of wood and made really nice wood chips.

I use it to maintain my 17 acres. Commercial grade unit at a reasonable price.

For what it's worth, it's very powerful. I appreciate the hydraulic feed rollers on the chipper. Without these automatic feed rollers, I would be exhausted from having to forcefully push the logs into the chipper blade. Love this loud buzzing sound.
