The P4205 Wood Chipper is powered by a 14hp 429cc electric start KOHLER gasoline engine, and equipped with a 12V20Ah lead-acid battery.

The left side of the feeding chute is designed with hinges, allowing for convenient side opening to clean residual wood chips and replace blades.

The discharge chute consists of a 4.8’’ diameter bend pipe, and the top of the discharge chute can reach a height of 72 inches from the ground. The connection between the discharge chute and the blade box features a fastening design, enabling the discharge chute to rotate 360 degrees.

On the upper side of the feeding chute, there is an emergency stop button, and on the lower side, there is an emergency stop press bar. These can be used to stop the machine at any time in case of an emergency.

The core cutting component of the P4205 Wood Chipper is a disc with a diameter of 21.7’’. There are 2 cutting blades and 4 fins on the disc. Such a large disc generates impressive inertia, providing maximum cutting force to effortlessly cut branches with a maximum diameter of 5” .

The P4205 is equipped with tail light, and on one side of the trailer, there is an American seven-pin plug. The plug can be connected to the towing vehicle when being towed, allowing the tail light of P4205 to synchronize with the vehicle's braking and turning signals.

Dual-belt drive transmission with 6.7’’ double-edge reversible cutting blades. The belts are made of Kevlar, which is more wear-resistant than ordinary neoprene belts, greatly reducing maintenance frequency. The blades are made of professional A8(5Cr5MoWS), providing the appropriate strength and toughness, significantly extending the blade's lifespan.

Everything was great. There were some major scratches on the disc housing and the chute, but all in all everything was fine. Nothing functional. The finish isn't cheap, so it would have been nice to not get rust right away, but it's going to happen someday anyway. It either takes equipment or two people to get things together, but that's not unexpected. I think a bit more explanation on the web site might be helpful because I made a comment about my chipper arriving online and received several questions about delivery and assembly. I didn't check, but a YouTube video might have been helpful. I figured out how to assemble mine with two people pretty easily, but I could not have done that if I followed the limited instructions.

I would/will purchase from MechMaxx again. I'm pretty impressed with the whole process.

So far I have around 5 hours on my p4205
It starts amazing and I’m liking it a lot.
Anything under 3” diameter you can’t hardly feed it fast enough, it gobbles it right up!
Works great on the bigger stuff as well.

Initial assembly is a bit of a challenge. Only got to use it once before the snow. It performed absolutely up to my expectations.

I spent about a month researching, comparing, and looking for a chipper that would meet our needs. This is not a cheap implement, but rather much better quality than almost everything else on the market. A few things I noted after receiving and trying it our this past weekend:

Packed fairly well in crate, with minimal damage (mostly a few scuffs) from transportation.

Due to the weight of heavy duty materials, assembly is definitely challenging without a way to lift motor/frame to connect axle.

After adding some quality oil and filling tank with gas, it started up with ease.

We could bundle up and feed multiple dried up river cane through it, and it had zero issues chewing it up for about 5 hours straight. However, where it really shined was with regular wood limbs, which it pulverized up to the 5" limit without any issues.

I received mine in a crate with loose items inside. This scratched up the powder coat but did not cause damge to the mechanical components. After greasing the bearings, filling the engine with oil and fresh REC fuel, I was unable to get it to start. Customer service wanted me to make a movie of me trying to start the machine. I wasnt able to do this alone. I tested the 3 estop switches, all good, took off thecair cleaner and usee starting fluid, did not fire. Pulled tge spark plug and tried to start again watching the plug and it did not spark. Oil level was to the top of the dip stick. My broth came over and bypassed the low oil cut off and it started. I ran it fir 30 minutes then checked the oil level and re greased the bearings. After that we fed this beast 4 and 5" trees and brush for about 5 hours, cgcking the oild when we gilled the gas tank. It did clog the chute once but it was cleared in just a few minutes. It runs quiet compared to other chippers ive used. Over all i am pleased with this purchase, i would not depend too heavily on customer support unlees you have the spare time to play tag. The tires are not centered well on the hub i would not take this far on the road. Bearings are good, heavy metal construction. Overall a very good unit for the money.

This wood chipper is a beast! It makes quick work of wood hard and soft, large or small. I can't imagine clearing my property without it. I'm so impressed I'll be buying on of your MechMaxx sawmill next!
