MechMaxx P4206 Gas-Powered Drum Wood Chipper with B&S Vanguard Engine

OK. Where do i start. I just received this chipper and assembled the machine without any problems. Actually it was very easy. Now mind you, this is a very heavy machine and the parts have some weight to them.
Only problem I did encounter was starting the machine for the first time. After trying start a couple of times, I realized the push button emergency stop was activated. The machine will not start if any emergency features are activated.
The chipper had a test run and destroyed anything I put in it, small twigs up to 4" branches. I was very impressed how the machine pulled 10' branches with ease.
Go with the electric start. The engine is mounted high on the machine and starting using the pull rope may be difficult.
So far very impressed.

Purchases this woodchipper in early Summer. Works great, easy to start and use. Ran into an issue with the pully clutch and reached out to tech support. Quick and professional service! Troubleshooted the issue and determined the issue. Sent out a new pully and replacment belts. Top notch customer service. Very happy with my purchase and follow on customer service!

Best chipper ever!!! I have had a 4" MacKissick chipper for about 15 years. Worked great but killed your arms pushing the branches in. With my MechMaxx 6" Vanguard engine, I just have to toss the limbs into the chipper and it just sucks them down. Doesn't matter if the trees are 25-30 feet long. And this chipper is about half the price of my old chipper which I have since given to my neighbor. Just wish there were more YouTube videos. Would make the purchasing decision a lot quicker.

I'm happy with the purchase. Received undamaged, so packaged very well. Assembly was easy and directions easy to follow. My only issue was I towed it 15 miles and it "hydro-locked". I installed a in-line shut-off valve and have not had an issue since. Make sure before starting that the inlet side is clear, otherwise you'll "smoke" the belts.
All-in-all I'd definitely buy again.

Great wood chipper/shredder. I was burning all the branches that have fallen off my trees, which made for a nice bonfire. I figured instead of hauling and burning all those branches that I could use them to cover the walking trails on my property. I thought the wood chipper would cut the branches into chunks but it actually cuts everything down to the size of mulch. Love it.

Great little woodchipper. Easy to assemble. Got me caught up on my tree work really quickly. Only found two branches that were too big. Will handle most branches.

This is an awesome chipper. Had mine for about 6 months now and it is fabulous. Hurricane Helene has just passed through and I have trees down on the farm and it has been awesome to tow to the fields and just work through it. A huge pile becomes mulch in a matter of minutes.

Up to 3 inches is easy - 4-5 takes a bit of care not to over do. Havle also fed through leaves, pines friends and it's just eats it all ... Including my Garmin running watch 😂

This thing is a beast. It performs even better than I expected. It will chew through quite substantial limbs. You just have to feed the really thick ones slowly and it works great.

It can swallow clumps of branches and chunks of sticky wood. It's on discount, doesn't require a lot of budget, very happy with it. Wood chips are great for use as mulch. After a year, they will decompose into rich compost.

This wood chipper is a beast! I separated the branches and branches of different sizes and set aside anything that was thick. I think it rips everything I feed it into pieces, it eats everything I feed it! I was able to shred and shred 3 boxes of mulch. I didn't have a stuck branch, but it did get clogged once because the basket was full. I leaned the machine sideways against the bin that had been removed from the tarp and removed all the debris. Dust has never bothered me. The effect is very good. It must be really hungry because it eats everything.

Works great and assembly was very easy, I used it for the first time yesterday and it handles oak, ash, walnut, cherry and other hardwoods with great results. I was surprised how well this wood chipper handled them. I decided to use it more often.

I am very impressed with this MechMaxx wood chipper. Finding the right equipment for my job also helps a lot with mud. It will make things go faster! ! This is how a chipper is supposed to work.

Do the right thing with MechMaxx wood chipper! I live in the Pacific Northwest where we get over 120 inches of rain and the bushes grow like crazy. Spring cleaning happens in March. Consider a dump truck trailer on a utility vehicle, used to transport chips further afield. A friend had a fertilizer spreader to spread his potato chips. I used my wood chips to spread the dirt, make weed-free paths, and mulch around the blueberries.

The size on is perfect for what I was looking for my garden and it does all the jobs that I couldn’t do with my old one so I highly recommend this product to everyone.

The wood chipper arrived three day after I ordered it. Assembly was straight forward and the performance was exceptional, coping with a huge pile of white oak and locust branches without batting an eyelid.

I don't usually do reviews, but after recently purchasing one from you guys I finally had a chance to use it properly today and I have to say I'm very impressed. Obviously you have to prepare the material for the chipper a little bit, removing any thick side branches, but if you do it at the same time as you're cutting the shrub, there's hardly any extra time required. The machine quickly and easily cut 10 large shrubs, a mix of deciduous and evergreen shrubs. Obviously, bare branches are a little easier, but it handles leafy greens just fine.

California can use it for the forest and anything else it’s awesome

Never have I witnessed such a powerful wood chipper ever. I like it. I chopped a lot of cedar where are all curved branches.

Sugar maple and locust are probably the hardest tress you’ll cut in Pennsylvania. Glad I have this wood chipper to fight them.

We love it so much we have 6 very thick pine oaks we sharpened the blades first we used it for 7 hours at a time we bought 2 more sets of blades

Just used mine for the 1st time today mainly shredding leaves, it was a best. We did the branch part for a few limbs. Agree with the bag hook up, after two bags I ran it without the bag and placed a flat piece of wood on the ground to displace the mulched leaves win win, so much easier, the leaves were going back as ground cover in the same location.

Shipping was quick and so far I've chipped off three thirty foot spruce trees and an elm tree with a two foot diameter trunk and it's doing great.

Nice chipper. Very portable and efficient. Saves me a lot of time and clearing out junk. I would recommend it to anyone.

I just used mine for the first time yesterday. I was impressed. What I did like is the quality of unit is durable, Briggs & Stratton Vanguard motor is great. Ran for three hours in a tank of gas. This machine will help you make the hard work of clearing trail areas very satisfying while returning nutrients to the forest floor. I hope you enjoy the cooler weather and no mosquitoes.
