MechMaxx PGS1500 Gas-Powered Wood Chipper with Towbar

We’ve put a lot of wood through this chipper! We’ve had numerous trees cut down and it handles the limbs with ease. Love the product and the customer service is top notch! And to add another comment on the crate, built a nice cat house with it!

Oh! And as an added bonus! Don’t destroy the crate it comes in. It makes a handy wood chip collector! Redneck ingenuity at its finest! 👌🏼🤣

This machine is the real deal! I was skeptical at first, but once I started assembling it (attaching the chute and tires) it I was very impressed . It’s built using 1/4” steel! The chute is heavy and constructed from 1/8” steel! And they aren’t lying this thing eats 5” branches with ease! After assembly it’s good to check all bolts for tightness just in case I did get a “squeak” out of a couple bolts . And after using it for about 3hrs I pulled the belt guard off and greased the bearings for the drum as specified in the manual. I’m glad I did because I found the centrifugal clutch to crankshaft bolt loose. That was an easy fix, I simply cleaned the threads and applied a drop of Blue Threadlocker (Loctite).. I’m impressed! This thing is fun to use!

Awesome… extremely well built, a fantastic piece of equipment and is going to save my work with our fire wood from now on.

Easy to assemble and starting was good. Use 10W-30 oil. Absolutely chewed up anything I ran into it. First time using it for two hours. The next day ran it most of the day. It can handle larger than 5" but be careful, handle the wood safely.

Have run it with large and small branches, all being chopped into small wood chips.

I use them on garden walkways, landscape fabrics. Suppresses weeds very well. I also place them around my fruit trees to retain moisture and provide nutrients to the tree as they decompose. Keep the small chipper. Build a feed hopper, put the large wood chips into the hopper and feed them slowly through the small chipper to reduce the size. Thicker branches should be split to a reasonable thickness to allow them to pass without stalling the chipper.

It really is a beast! It is actually out front cleaning up all the branches and leaves from last nights wind. He hasn't broken down yet. Stay away from vines and other stringy material as they can wrap around the axle leading to a time consuming disassembly/reassembly process to unwrap the mess. Once we learned that lesson it's been a pleasure to grind down piles of debris into great mulch for flower beds and natural paths.

Fast efficient service. The machine is a proper beast. Worked fantastically. As with any new tool it takes a little while to know what you can and can’t do with it. Highly recommended.

The packaging is in good condition and not damaged. The blade is sharp. To keep it in good service, change the engine oil regularly and inspect all nuts and bolts.

It cuts better though fresh material as when it's dry it hardens and I noticed it struggles much more.

It is a good machine for getting rid of that long scraggly brush. I recommend not placing any type of wood vines in it. The vines are flexible and can snag the rollers.

I love that it has a trailer connection. We have black walnut and hickory here. These pieces are great and perfect for composting.

It worked great to clean up fruit tree prunings into a nice usable mulch.

When I purchased this chipper, I was hoping that it would also chip up the cuttings from all of the other shrubs that we have in our yard. I was extremely happy when it mulched up all of the debris from all of our bushes. Very happy with this product.
