MechMaxx D50HTFL Tracked Dumper with Hydraulic Tipping and Lifting with Front Shovel

Comes in a metal cage pallet thing, angle grinder made quick work of unpackaging, enough steel to use for another welding project.

Took a few hours to setup solo, used a motorcycle lift to hold the shovel up while I installed the bolts.

Zerks need grease, Drain the engine of whatever mystery oil is in there before adding your 10-30. Adding hydraulic fluid took a while to cycle through the system, fill the res, run the shovel, bucket up down and dump feature while watching the level and adding more until it stays at high mark.

Bolts connecting the bucket to the hydraulic brackets on the side need to point inwards not out like the install video shows.

It’s got some cables that need to be monitored for tension, and check the track tension as well, but anyone with a small amount of mechanical inclination should be able to keep this thing going for years.

I had to adjust the hydraulic hose clamp under the bucket, it came too tight and would have ripped out on full tilt if I hadn’t.

It’s a discount machine, you should expect to take extra precautions setting up, but the amount of work this thing has done digging out foundations for a patio and shed, this thing has a thousand uses. For digging you just need to get a slope on the unit past.zero and start shaving off layers.

Fits in my garden gate, something those big machines cannot claim.

I bought the D50HTFL to help me move a massive amount of mulch, and I am blown away by both the machine and the company. First off, the shipping was top-notch—the unit arrived very secured and well-packaged. The customer service is amazing; they actually gave me a phone call to confirm my order. It turned out I had selected the wrong options, and they were able to catch it and fix it for me right over the phone. As for the dumper, it’s a total back-saver. This mulch job would usually take me 8 to 10 hours spread over 2 to 3 days, and I’d end up with a broken back every night. With this machine, I finished the entire job in less than 3 hours. I never had to lift a thing thanks to the front shovel and hydraulic dump, so my back is completely fresh. The 10HP engine had plenty of power for the mulch, but it feels like it has way more torque in reserve if I ever need it for heavier construction work. Highly recommended!

In this economy there isn’t too much of a return but when you buy Mech Maxx you’re getting more than what you paid for. I’m very impressed with the quality of the machine. It’s built well and everything works as expected. The hydraulic features are very nice and the transmission has a good range of speeds. The engine runs well and has plenty of power. The little bit of assembly was easy and didn’t take much time.
A well designed machine and worth every penny. I’m glad that I made the purchase and I will get good use out of it for the rest of my life.

Really like the hydraulic dump feature, poured 9 cubic feet of concrete. Very good on your back. Powerful machine!

This machine is great! It's made it significantly easier to move materials like wood chips and compost around the yard and up a hill. The instructions could use a bit more detail but it was still easy figure out. I would definitely recommend!

I’ve already gotten quite a bit of use out of it in the few months that I’ve owned it. The loader helped me move tons of crushed rock and saved my back!

So far so good. Came full of hydraulic fluid...easy to assemble bucket. Moved the pile of gravel :)

Very top heavy, any way to widen the tracks? Other ideas for improving stability?

Love it ty back saver

I just wanted to come back and add in some pictures of the extra things I've done with this machine. I only have videos of moving stone, so I didn't include any of those. Hopefully, the pictures I attempted to include, show up.

Just to be clear, this is the ultimate tool if you've got a little land and need something to save your shoulders, neck, and back!

However, if my land was a part of a full-on agricultural business, I'd probably opt for a track-steer. Being how cheap these units are, and how incredibly useful, I have both.

If your grass is beautiful and you want to keep it that way, there really isn't a machine that won't damage your grass, other than a garden tractor (riding mower).

If you bump the steering on this dumper and don't try to turn all at once (bump steer for 1 second, keep moving for another 2 seconds, etc), it won't tear up the grass too badly. But, if you have a golf course level lawn, this isn't capable of not marking it up a little, without putting down mats.

I love love love this machine!
I use it for things I never thought I would. I move lumber with it. I move large propane tanks with it. When it snows I use it to take my trash to the street. In bad snow I sometimes bring in the groceries with it or take luggage to and from the car with it (our house is far from the driveway). I've loaded and dumped probably 30 tons of stone with it. I've pulled large stakes out of the ground with it. I'm sure there's more I've used it for. But, I probably use it at least a couple times a week, on average. It's certainly the most useful tool I've ever owned.

I've had it for probably 18mo and now I couldn't do without it. It's handier than a shirt pocket!

I will say that I rarely ever use the high range. It seems too fast for the tracks and I'm afraid it will damage them. Low range, gears 1 through 4 will accomplish anything I need.

On any piece of equipment like this, I recommend changing the oil and hydraulic oil a couple times fairly early in its life.

I did it at 5hrs, 10hrs, and 20hrs. Then on regularly scheduled intervals.

Found more uses for this workhorse. I attached a snow plow to the shovel and cleared my drive. I also put a trailer hitch ball on the shovel and moved my trailers into an area for storage that was far easier than using my truck.
It also carried 112 bags of concrete to make the piers for a large deck. This tool has allowed this 81 year old to continue working my 40 acres.

Due to a lot of rain in the beginning of '25, I lost a 17 foot by 9 foot foundation non-bearing wall with tons of dirt that pushed the block wall in about 5 feet.
This machine was the best, it just fit through the 36 inch basment door able to reach the far wall that collapsed loaded the shovel and then to the dumper. To start at the top of the pile I raise the shovel and dumper and work my way down to the ground.
Had a few minor problems in the beginning but compared to using a 5 gallon and a lot of walking it was worth every penny.

Easily the best bang for the buck. At 80 the normal chores of very rural living are getting harder. Noting but snow here so far but I have moved a lot of snow, cleared paths and opened my road with this little beast. With little flat land it was getting difficult to push loads of fire wood, hay for the critters and bags of feed. All of those chores are now easy and oddly enough, fun. I will revisit this review when the dirt is not frozen because I have so many projects to use my new favorite tool on. I highly recommend this machine and as I look at the rest of Mechmaxx's lineup I can see I need to save some money. Great products for a fraction of of the price for what such functional tools normally cost.

We looked for a long time for the perfect machine to be used in a walkway for a doggie daycare. This machine is the perfect size to fit through a 4 foot gate. It's compact enough to turn around once inside with ease. It takes a bit of practice to maneuver. This is definitely perfect for those who need to clear snow in walkway area. We highly recommend!

The tracks are easy to use. The tracked drive has worked out great for an otherwise inaccessible site. I’ve had it on slopes of 15 degrees or more. It just keeps going.
