Usage Warning: Check Soil Conditions First
The TrenchBadger Pro is designed for use in soil conditions that can be trenched with a standard shovel. If the soil is too compacted or dense for a shovel—such as undisturbed clay, coral, caliche, or large embedded rocks—a heavier-duty trencher may be necessary.

The TrenchBadger Pro 12 is built for contractors who need fast, clean trenches without hauling a full‑size machine. Its lightweight, portable design delivers deep cuts up to 12 inches using a commercial‑grade Efco 2‑cycle engine and carbide‑tip blades engineered for tough soils and root‑heavy ground. The extended 68" frame and ergonomic grip give installers better control in tight spaces, making it ideal for irrigation lines, landscape lighting, fiber drops, dog fencing, and drainage runs.

Designed for daily jobsite use, the Pro 12 features a solid steel drive shaft, magnesium clutch housing, and a durable blade system that maintains trench shape while reducing backfill time. The Efco engine includes EasyOn starting and an AlwaysOn switch for reliable operation. Warranty coverage is provided by TrenchBadger and applies to normal contractor use; avoid rocky terrain or large roots beyond the unit’s rated capability to maintain blade life and drivetrain integrity.
