MechMaxx 48" Standard 3 Point Offset Flail Ditch Bank Mower

Wasn't sure how it would work on my TYM T234, but it works great. It has a cab and loader, so it off sets the weight good when it is extended. Item was shipped in a nice metal crate and easy to put together. Used it in my field as a test of what it could do and as you can see the grass was 3 to 4 foot high. Had to go slow, my TYM is 24.4 hp but it cut it pretty good. Did my ditch and roadside as well and it is just what I wanted.

This flail mower works great against most things I’ve come across. The wisteria vines get hammered well if going slow but they do wrap around the cylinder so I have to clear them out occasionally or belts get fried. I was missing a hammer from shipping and they replaced it for free. I have a John Deere 2150 and added a fuel diverter so I could use both functions.

This was a great find and of course a great buy. Being a welder and growing up on a large cattle ranch, I know a thing or two about real farm equipment. This is one piece that really impressed me, even on a 25 Hp Bad Boy tractor. I cut a field covered in 1”-1.5” pine trees like nothing. The build quality is solid and its function is fantastic. This implement looks and feels like it will last forever.

Works ok with a 1025R. Power is great. Would like a bigger weight tractor. We.have used it to trim trails and edges of the yard. Putting fluid in tires would help also.

I purchased the MechMaxx 48" Standard 3 Point Offset Flail Ditch Bank Mower, 25-50HP, VAM48, and an extra set of Flail Hammers. I am extremely happy with this attachment and the entire purchase experience. The mower is well designed and constructed and matches well to my tractor. I used it to mow a large wooded area covered with various types of grass, ground cover, and brush. The hydraulic offset and bank feature was a big plus in being able to work around trees and uneven ground. While MechMaxx offers free shipping on this item, I opted for the optional premium freight service and received the and mower via appointment with FEDEX liftgate service. Shipping time was quick with excellent email status updates. The shipping crated is a sturdy angle iron frame which does a good job of protecting the mower. The included assembly instructions were also very good, and I was able to assemble the mower solo by mounting the 3 point arch frame to my tractor and then assembling the rest of the mower from there. This is the second piece of equipment I have purchased from MechMaxx and I would definitely recommend this mower.

I have enjoyed using this Flail mower. It has cut everything I have drug it over. Cuts in upward and downward position.
I have had and used this mower for 2 years and have not had to repair or replace anything.
I run this with a 22hp Mahindra.

Awesome value and works great. It mows the grass extremely well, and it chews through black berry bushes with no problems. The crate it was shipped in was very well built and protected as well. The build quality is great and the hydraulic functions work very well and are extremely handy

The vam48 is excellent. It really takes a beating it withstood steal cable and a mining roof bolt that only left a few dents and some missing paint and kept on cutting i highly recommend it.

VAM48 arrived packaged very well. Surprised by how well this thing is actually made. Easy to assemble. Just check the hydraulic hose fittings to make sure they're tight. I've got this attached to a Kubota B2630 and using it to trim a hedge row that lines my driveway (seen in photo). Definitely would recommend.

Customer service kept me well informed of my purchase and the shipping! Vam48 arrived well protected and putting it together was fun and easy. Glad to say this VAM48 was built much heavier than I expected. I just started learning to operate it, but it seems to do a great job. Running it behind my New Holland TC-33D. It handles the Vam48 with no issues, even when fully extended out to the side. It does shoot a lot of finer material out the front onto the rear of the tractor and more - I will need to put up some sort of clear deflector to minimize this and still see what I am cutting.
Can't wait to test it along the vertical fence line!

Purchased a 48" Flail Ditch mower 1 month ago. The staff at MechMaxx were extremely helpful and kept me informed on the process of my ordered without ever having to ask. Delivered promptly complete and with out any damage. I'm using this on my John Deere 2320 compact tractor, 2007 model, 4w drive,loaded rear tires and chains, total of 5 41pound suitcase weights on front to keep wheels on ground on steeper slopes. I needed 4' extention hyd hoses for my mid mount hyd conn. I have 83 ac of mostly timbered off sloping mountain ground with a couple fields. Lots of logging roads with over growing blackberry vines with stumps and rocks entangled. Perfect mower for this senerio. Short learning curve to learn to navigate these. Mower built like a tank. Cuts great from nearly tilling to vertical edge trimming. Careful on slopes both vertical and side hill. This was a great investment.
