MechMaxx 65" Standard 3 Point Offset Flail Ditch Bank Mower

This thing has been a lifesaver. I have used it to mow fields, pond banks and ditches. Very well built and very reasonably priced. I am 100% satisfied. I also own one of their stump grinders and it's been great as well!

Easy transaction. They stood by the promise to provide good customer support. May be delivered on large truck so make room and be prepared to move equipment on your own. Looking forward to using it on the farm.

Shipping was fast, assembly was straight forward, run smooth on my TYM 474CH tractor, cuts very nice I really like the offset and the tilt for embankments very well built product. I just removed mower from tractor wasn’t going to put back on for photos.

I am extremely pleased with the quality of the VAM65 Flail Mower. Even the metal shipping crate was impressive and can be used as an implement cart when wheels are added. I am very happy with the offset distance as you can see in the photos. The tractor is a Kubota B-3200 so it is on the smaller end; however, with the mower extended to the complete offset, it is still stable. I needed to add a bracket and 4-way valve to the 3-point hitch frame as the tractor only has a hydraulic output and return. Since their stock photos they improved by adding rings for safely routing the hydraulic lines. Now I can't wait for the snow to melt.

I am really impressed with the build quality of this mower. Weighting in at 700 lbs, you know it is built with heavy duty steel. I will be maintaining over a half a mile of banks and ditches and I believe it will give me many years a great service.

Pleased with results so far. The flail mower came very well packaged with a steel crate. Assembly was not difficult and I was able to do it by myself without any assistance. I adjusted the roller to the maximum height based on what I've seen other users do - and it was the right decision. Not sure that I would use the capability but I would like for it to have an even higher setting. I had no issues at all mowing a field and also some ditch banks. Don't forget to add oil to the gear as it comes empty from the factory. I also greased all the fittings. I'm using on a TYM T494 and it performed great on it. The heft of the tractor kept everything balanced and I had no concerns about the tractor being tippy.

Fits my 40 hp Massey Ferguson 1840m perfectly. Very easy to operate and hydraulics are so smooth. Does a great job mowing grass and also works great on brush. All of the components of the mower are heavy duty and well made. The only negative thing I have to say is it does not hook up to my Cat 1 quick hitch. Other than that I would definitely recommend.

This offset flail mower seems to be built nice and heavy duty! I spend a little over a week going back and forth with customer service in regard to the gearbox, which seems to have just been a waste of my time. I'm guessing the gearbox is the same as on their standard flail mowers, which are always horizontal. If you look at the location of the vented fill plug while keeping in mind that the offset flail mowers are advertised for vertical use, think about what this vented fill plug is going to in the vertical position.... Yep, it's going to loose gear oil!

According to MechMaxx this is normal and isn't a problem. I disagree.

If you are considering buying this offset flail mower, DO NOT HESITATE! I have put this mower through its paces with absolutely zero hiccups. I have used it to mow my lawn when my mower belt broke, trimmed back my trails, mowed ditches, and mowed 20+ acres of food plots. I even mowed 1/2 acre of fully headed out sunflowers (8-10’ tall), completely shredded them into nothing. I run the 65” on a 35hp tractor with rear loaded tires and it runs it like a dream. Already saving up for a new rotary tiller, and it WILL 100% be a MechMaxx.

I LOVE this mower. Have had absolutely zero problems, and I would recommend to anyone! Do yourself a favor and buy it, you WILL NOT regret it

I purchased a VAM 65 and paired it with my RK55 tractor. It was a good fit. I am impressed with the amount of articulation of the flail mower. It is great for get hard to get to areas. I checked the tension beforehand. This would perfect if you cut the grass frequently. I ordered new belts and now I mow the areas before using the flail mower. It was packaged and shipped well.

Love this mower! Great for fence lines, pond banks, and just general mowing. I would recommend this mower to anyone! I have a 55HP, and it ran it like a champ. It did come with one of the Housings dented during shipping, but it did not affect the mower function in any way, so I wasn't worried about it. That is a shipper problem, not a MechMaxx Problem. It took me a little time to figure out the best position for the top link, but once I did that, it was basically like a finish mower. Thanks

I purchased the VAM 65 to maintain my Idaho property. I have it attached to my Mahindra 1635 SST utilizing a W.R. Long three spool rear remote kit. The flail mower with this setup is an excellent combination and the performance is very good with this tractor. I would highly recommend this mower for any mowing needs.

I Purchased the VAM 65" 3 Point Offset flail mower and could not be more pleased with the purchase. It make very simple & quick work of maintaining the shoreline around our private lake. It also works perfectly for clearing, creating & maintaining various trails we have through the heavily wooded areas on our property.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is in the market to purchase one.

Received mower crate was bent but mower seemed fined just a lot of scratches in paint not packed very well, it’s beast of a mower
