MechMaxx 60" Standard 3 Point Offset Flail Ditch Bank Mower

Product arrived in a wood box, everything securely packaged. 1 grease fitting missing and 1 broken, which I always have spares on hand. Every thing else was good.

This Flail mower does a pretty good job, I can cut grass very close to my fence line and my ditch out on the road. My 4820 tractor handles this thing very well.

This thing is a beast. It cuts heavy brush / sticks / and everything in its way and pulverizes it. It cuts a nice finish on the field, but for long overgrown fields I've had to do 2 - 3 passes to get it to handle the grass - it prefers chewing through brush and small trees over grass. I think my tractor is a little on the small side - I have a 25 HP Kioti CK 2620. I think I would have less trouble in the over gown fields with a bigger machine. Its not the mower bogging down it my PTO power.

Product was as expected when received. Packaged very well and shipping was super easy and fast. Very happy so far with mower this far and can’t wait to use in spring. Looks sturdy and ready to work.

We purchased this attachment to hook onto our tractor to assist us with mowing the deep part of the ditches. Works great for what we need it for. We would recommend.

I bought the VAM60 to mow ditches and hillsides around the farm and it has delivered wonderfully. My yard is bordered by woods and this flail mower is great for getting under the low branches and cleaning up the brush.

This has become our favorite new implement. The MechMaxx VAM60 60" Offset Flail Mower is so much more versatile than a brush cutter. Yes, it will cut brush, but it also leaves more of a "mulched" finish mower look. Rarely does it bend random weeds down like a brush cutter does from time to time. The offset feature of this flail mower means I no longer need another implement to cut vertically down wooded pathways. Very heavy duty. Very well built. We have been using it for a couple of months and it just works well everytime. The hammers have a few dings from use, but they just keep on cutting. Assembly was straightforward, just a few tools, use the tractor to lift off the crate.

I was very impressed with the quality. It was much heavier steel and quality than I expected. Mower cuts great, just take the time to dial in the top link to getting it cutting perfect.

Mower does great, performs as expected. Couple of nuts and bolts missing from shipment, but replacement was quick and easy, no hassel from customerservice.

Very pleased so far. About 10hrs of use. Install was straight forward. One hydraulic fitting was loose and some scratches through shipping. Overall, very good only regret is not going with the 65! Well built and solid performance with nice finish. Happy with this purchase!

Works great on a Kubota B2601

This thing is amazing. When I purchased it I didn’t realize how well it would cut grass. Although I can’t get I cut as quickly as I can with my zero turn mower, it could definitely be used as a backup to my mower. I will say I’m going to need a flow control valve for the side shift and tilt functions because right now I have to be really careful due to the speed in which these functions travel. The tilt function could double as a catapult lol. Overall it’s an amazing piece of equipment and would definitely recommend.

I've installed the VAM60 on my L2501hst Kubota and I'm very pleased. I thought this might be too heavy for my tractor but it works great. Must have extra hydraulic spools to operate tilt and offset.

I did a lot of research before buying this offset flail mower. Based on what I read about the lower cost brands, I expected to be breaking teeth and belts. I have about 25 hours of very hard work and I can say this thing is a beast. It is essentially a mulcher if you set it up at the correct angle. I did find one of the stands could not be inserted into the square slot without cutting off one side of the bottom of the foot but otherwise, no complaints. I moved the roller to the higher position to protect against rock damage but still can mulch into the ground with no problem. I added a hydraulic top link when I added the hydraulic lines for the mower and this allows on the fly adjustment of the angle changing from rolling on the roller for grass cutting to cutting at ground level for mulching. I recommend this. Small trees (1-2") get ate up easily and a few larger ones have been ground by very slowly moving forward. I bought the extra teeth and belts but I do not see me using them anytime soon. Great product for the price point.

This mower is a huge time saver. What used to take me all weekend now takes me about three hours.

The mower is built heavy. I have mowed heavy brush in old fence rows up to 2” thick. It handles it with ease. Shipping took longer than expected. About a month. Other than that a great addition to our farm.

Fast shipping arrived right when they said unfortunately I have been unable to use it yet because it’s wintertime with snow on the ground but looking forward to next year when I can use it

Communication was fantastic, freight was super fast and they made it super easy.

Thus far, I’m very happy with the mower. Winter is pproaching so mowing season is over here, which means that I havent had a chance yet to put it to use, but the sturdiness of its construction and intellligence of design is impressive. It arrived in flawless condition in a sturdy steel crate made of angle iron, but I must add that assembly doing it alone took a long time and considerble cursing. Suddenly I wished that maybe it WASN'T so sturdy!. So I highly recommend you arrange for a friend to help. Other than that, however, so far, better than good! Looking forwaard to spring already

So far so good. Just a week and tractor is in shop, of course. I would reccomend.
